Cwmafon

In a tough physical encounter away to Cwmavaon Ammanford started slowly and took time to adjust toplaying on a 3G pitch conceeding an early penalty.  The boys continued to make mistakes and Cwmavon raced into a 10-0 lead with a try and conversion.  From this point the team galvanised and started to take the game to the oppostion with Dan Morris, Sion Griffiths and Fin Quick carying strongly.  The backs started to put some handling together and Carwyn Morris went over for a try.  Dan Slattery then kicked a penalty to bring the score to 10-8 at half time.   The team started the second half with real purpose and a barnstorming run from prop Dan Morris saw him go over for a try from the ten yard line showing a burst of pace to break the Cwmafon line.  Further tries followed and an excellent defensive effort saw the team hold out for an superb 35-10 win.
