Ammanford Youth 50 Hendy Youth 0

Ammanford had too much class for visiting Hendy as they ran in eight first half tries, forcing the referee to call an early halt to the league fixture as they hit the fifty point cut-off mark.
Ammanford showed their intent from the outset as wing-forward Rhys 'TJ' Jones powered through a number of tackles before off-loading to full-back Steffan Lewis ,who sliced through the defence to score, with outside-half Dan Slattery converting.
Wing Joseph Parkin was quickly on the scoresheet following a close range scrum, and a strong run from No. 8 Rhys Roberts from a further scrum on the half-way found Steffan Lewis again in support to grab his second try, both converted by Slattery.
Slattery proceeded to dictate play, and some neat inter-passing with wing Parkin earned the talented outside-half a try which he started deep inside his own half, again converted for a 28-0 score  mid-way through the half.
Ammanford proceeded to demonstrate some excellent interplay, with centre Nick Morris scoring following a break by Parkin, with the influential wing rewarded soon after with a try from the half-way.
Full-back Steffan Lewis grabbed his try hat-trick as he again entered the line at pace to break the visiting defence line, before replacement wing Sam Benger scored in the corner with his first touch of the ball to bring an enforced early halt to proceedings, and to impressively remain top of the Scarlets Region Youth League.
