In the first game for five weeks the boys started slowly and were obviously rusty letting in two tries. As the game went on the team got together and started playing some good rugby with Garin Criddle the flying prop scoring an excellent try after some sustained pressure on the Carmarthen line. The second half started with Ammanford well on top and the ref awarded a try only to be influenced and reversed the decision awarding a scrum to Carmarthen. Liam Gregory then scored his first try of the match to bring the score to 14-12. Carmarthen scored a third try from some sloppy defending. Ammanford again took control with Carmarthen becoming frustrated and having two players sin binned along with one from Ammanford. shortly after this the Ammanford scrum half was also sin binned. The boys continued to exert pressure and were awarded with a second try from Liam Gregory bringing the score to 19-17. A late penalty from Carmarthen gave the final score of 22-17. Special mention to liam Gregory, Sion Griffiths and Garin Criddle who were all outstanding.
