New Dock

In a fantastic semi final against New Dock Ammanford kicked off with the wind behind them and from the start laid out their intent with some heavy tackling and the forwards carrying well.  The game was played in heavy conditions but Ammanford adjusted well and scored an early try under the posts following some good work from the forwards Carwyn Morris broke the line to score, Dan Slattery converted.  New Dock put pressure on the Ammanford line but some great tackling from Sion, Dan Finn and Rhys Roberts held them firm.  Ammanford continued to take control and Dan Slattery sloted a penalty to make the score 10-0.  New Dock again put pressure on Ammanford and from a line out drove over to claw back to 10-5.  The boys upped their game and again Slattery slotted a penalty to further increase the lead to 13-5.  The second half started and Ammanford made hard work of clearing their lines but gradually made their way up field with the forwards and backs carrying strongly.  Again Slattery kicked a penalty to increase the lead to 16-5.  New Dock werent done and again scored a try in the corner to reduce the defict to 16-10.  From here the Ammanford boys should how much they wanted it and tackled everything that moved with Joe Parkin and Levi Gape making some superb tackles.  Liam Gregory ran strongly and all the players played their part in an excellent win
